JACK
Spring-Heeled Jack, or Jack the Jumper, is a strange being who can jump 30
meters in height, according to contains descriptions he looks like a monkey,
according to others he looks like a bat, according to certain testimonies he
tall was 1 meter and half, according to others, more. He appeared for the first
time in London in 1837. He assaulted many people and someone wrote letters with
protests to the mayor. Since then we always see him, in London, until 1904. Then
we hear less of him. But in 2001 he turned up again. This time in New Delhi, in
India. A similar being had been seen by some people, and others had been
assaulted. So the mayor was forced to put more street lamps in the streets,
because people was scared to go out during the night. But this isn’t the first
time that we hear of Jack. Elsewhere, especially in the USA, we know him with
others names: Owlman, Mothman and Monkeyman. Is he the same monster who have
travelled throughout 100 years in the history, from Victorian Britain to America
(it was the right period of the transoceanic emigration), to India (following
the Red Jackets of the British Her Majesty the Queen, going in their Indian
colony) ? But in that way we are facing a being who had lived more than 100
years! A definitely superhuman being. But where Jack came from? May him been
catapulted here from another dimension? From a world peopled by other beings
like him? Who knows it… I’d be very curious to meet him a day to asking him
it…
