FAIRIES

Since we were children we’ve been charmed by fairies, elves, goblins and all the “small people” of forests and by the magic that this world had always emanated. Many people wanted to believe it, like Robert Kirk, parson of the Aberfoyle village, in Scotland, who wrote a treatise about them, and the writer Conan Doyle (“A study in red”, “The adventures of Sherlock Holmes”, “The lost World”), charmed by the tales of two little girls of Yorkshire who swore to had seen them, Francis and Elsie Wright. Many years later, they revealed that the photos token by them to the people of the “little world” were false (in those photos, fairies were only paperboard shapes supported by big pins!), but they never disown their swear. Robert Kirk himself seemed to be kidnapped by the fairies who, hey said, wanted take revenge because of the revelations written in his book. Secret revelations written without fairies’ agreement. Fairyland is a ethereal world called “Brugh”. There, time flies in a different way. Few minutes in that world are hundreds of years in our. It’s possible going there only if fairies want it, nevertheless, once every 100 years a passage open only for few moments. Fairies may be good or evil, they eat corn and liquids and their bodies ca be ethereal, half ethereal and half corporeal, corporeal and made with
condensed cloud, more visible in the dusk. But it’s not easy to see them. Only who is predisposed can do it, who has the endowment of clairvoyance or who straw on his eyes an ointment of minced four-leaved clover. People say that they may be souls suspended in a limbo, angels fell but not to much evil to go to the hell and so confined in another dimension, or being of other worlds, or surviving of a legendary age antecedent to our, in which they lived together with humans. We found the “small people” all over the world in different types: The bannick in Russia, the brownie in Scotland, goblins in Norway and United Kingdom, the leprechaun in Ireland, the monaciello in Switzerland, Italy and Greece, the pixies in Cornwall and in Dartmor, the gremlins who are in many places of the world and who can become smaller. But we can’t forget that: once we came in their circle, we can’t leave it.We don’t leave alive the fairies’ circle.
